few comments on the pre-season reports...Note that we do not have any Bantam statistical information available other than
AAA...so when you see 0-0-0 on Bantams, it does not mean the player had no points...it just means the info was not
available...the rating and ranking info shown is for last season...the pre-season rating is a current snapshot as how strong
we see the team currently. New info or adjustments can still alter this rating through the pre-season period... Our "projected
player" lists are completed almost entirely by our own research. It is very rare for us to receive reports directly from
coaches and they do not reflect the coaches opinions on who will end up making a team...It's still 2 1/2 months from tryouts
and a million things can happen before the season starts... Whenever there are AA or AAA freshman joining a high school, we
try to list them as incoming freshman for information purposes if we know about them...also and as always, if you see some
info that may not be accurate, please give us a heads up so we can research and correct the data. We strive for the most complete
and accurate information for NJ hockey at all times... considering that there are over 5,000 high school players in the state
and over 130 teams...we ALWAYS appreciate your help...Many thanks...

5:35PM MESSAGE...Okay...so...tomorrow (fingers crossed) we will be launching
our first set of pre-season reports...It has been a busy summer collecting and organizing database records for every NJ ice
hockey player from Bantam on up...You have heard us talk about project "CR". Well...CR stands for cross-reference...we
will be presenting in our pre-season reports high school player roster and stats joined with the player stats and information
from last seasons travel or junior program. Thus, you can see what club team each high school team member played for as well
as which level and their scoring stats. We continue to collect information from a multitude of sources and could use another
1,000 hours to make sure it was complete. But we felt it was better to start launching a **BETA** project and continue to
refine it as the season gets closer to starting. Thus our pre-season ratings and rankings will change depending on the new
information received...Our pre-season reports are now fully database driven so they will be available as a menu option on
the team profile page and will change dynamically as new info comes in...Programming has been working feverishly over the
past 4 months to get this new product up and running by our launch date of September 1. There will be some refinements as
we go along so please be patient as we navigate our way to fully accurate projected team information. Our pre-season report
will now include a projected roster for the upcoming season, a list of departing seniors, a list of new freshman coming into
the program, a list of transfers (in and out) or losses to juniors, a team make-up of number of seniors through freshman,
a team make-up by travel level, and even a calculation percentage of scoring lost to graduation (if possible). It will also
include the Pre-season rating and rankings overall and by type (Private/Public, A/B). There are many other projects due to
launch before the season starts including additional player information, player rankings and links, youth, junior, and college
team pages and much more...We are looking forward to a great season ahead...

rankings....some of those teams to watch who will be vastly improved based on current information are Ramapo (a real contender
for top Public B), Red Bank Catholic, the St. Rose Frozen Roses, Bishop Eustace, St. Peter's Prep, the Mahwah Thunderbirds,
SAP, Westfield and the Panthers of Bridgewater Raritan! Unfortunately, some teams are expected to move in the other direction.
Some of these teams are... the Passaic Valley Hornets (losing 98% of scoring to graduation), Montgomery & Nutley (each
losing 13 seniors), Pingry, and believe it or not Gloucester Catholic who we expect to have at least 8 losses (double

It wasn’t the best hockey we've seen in the CVC-many seniors had not been on the ice
since early March. But the effort and excitement of the night was very evident.

In the early gong, Team Paul goalie
Stephen Anderson from Steinert played magnificently, kicking away and blocking shot after shot from a relentless Team Puchalik
team. Finally, midway in the first, Team Paul forward Steve Kolber (WWPN) jumped on a lose puck during a Team Puchalik PP
and put a nifty move on WWPS tender Darren Stafford for a 1-0 lead for team Paul.

The match stayed that way until Team Puchalik scored on a scrum in front by Nick Wong to
tie the score, assists going to Joe Cangelosi (WWPS) and Andrew Rothman (WWPS). That tally seemed to get Team Puchalik
going as they scored on their very next shot on Josh Berger (Princeton) who replaced Anderson in net. Cory Crawford (Lawrence) finishing a feed from John
Devlin (HV). Team Paul countered with a goal of their own
as Anthony Rosetta (Rbville) fed a nice pass back to Casey Litwack (WWPN) for a shot from the point that eluded
Team Puchalik Grant Mitchell (HV) due to a screen in front.

The teams battled with big hits and hustle til midway through the 3rd when Team Puchalik scored
to take the lead. On a PP, Team Puchalik worked a nice 2-1 out of the corner to score far side with a big blast by Peter Taylor
(HV) from Cory Crawford and Chris
DeAngelo (ND). Back to back penalties put Team Paul back on their heels as Team Puchalik scored again with
the extra man, a nice shot by Taylor Glanding (Hamilton) on feeds from Max Zeidel (Lawrence) and Chris So (WWPS).

Finally, an empty net goal from Paul Mang (Hamilton) sealed the deal for a 5-2 Team Puchalik
win with assists going to Chris So and Sean Tohill (Hamilton West).
MVPs were selected for each team with Chris DeAngelo getting the honors for Team Puchalik while Stephen
Anderson brought home the hardware for Team Paul.

11:20PM MESSAGE...The first annual Paul Puchalik Memorial CVC All Star game will be held at Loucks Arena at the Lawrenceville
School on June 25th at 7PM. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the "NHL Hockey Fights Cancer"
fund. Tickets prices will be minimum $5 donation (feel free to give more for the cause).. Come on out, see some great hockey,
and support the cause as well as honor a great NJ hockey person....

be posted on NJP Award page when complete. We make our selections by grad year and by school type (public and private). Thus
we will have 8 seperate award pages with first team, second team, and honorable mentions... Quantity of honorable
mentions will be more for seniors than for freshman on a sliding scale...We are still expecting stats from about half of the
coaches in the state so the final selection process is a bit more tedious and intense as we complete our research...Look for
first post this week...

analysis...Well, the Hockey Gods have spoken and seeds are set for the 2010 state tournaments. The private division is pretty
much as expected with just a couple of exceptions. We expected both St Augustine and Paul VI to be much higher in the seeds.
The committee must have weighed the limited schedule from Paul VI placing them 15th. Mo Beard get the nod at #4 edging both
Seton Hall and SA for that spot. No suprise to us that CBA is at #2. We have had them there for the last 5 weeks. In Public
A, The top 7 are just as expected with Knolls leading the way and Montgomery, Randolph and Brick Memorial right behind. Hillsboro,
Middletown South and Brick round out the top 7. We expected Howell to be higher with the Rebels getting an 11 seed. Bridgewater
Raritan beat our expectation at #10 as did Ridge at #13. In Public B, 4 of the top 8 seeds went to the NBIAL with Ramsey
on top of the heap. We had Northern Highlands much higher than 7, that was a suprise. We think Public B has many strong teams
that can suprise. Watch out for red hot teams like Sparta, Summit, and Mahwah to let fans know who they are...Very surprised
by Robbinsville at 26.

were unable to solve our back-end database issues with Register.com. We moved our database platform to a new service provider
(GoDaddy.com) Wednesday evening and returned full site functionality. Sorry for the interuption of services for the 36
