We love posting stories about former NJ players who have gone on to play at a high level past their high school career. Stay tuned for more updates on NJ high school stars from the past!
Sabrina Skyers, the former NJ high school star at Kent Place, has settled into her sophomore year at Tulane and is making a major impact for the Green Wave. According to NCAA.com, Sabrina is 23rd in the entire nation at the D1 level in blocks/set at 1.37. The 6’1″ middle blocker also has 66 kills to go along with her 71 total blocks through October 3, 2023, with a good chunk of the season still in front of her.

In her last two games from last week, Sabrina put down 8 kills against North Texas and 9 kills against Temple. She put back 9 blocks over those two matches while hitting over .300.

Sabrina was instrumental in Kent Place’s 22-1 season in 2021 where the Dragons went all the way to the State Semi-Final game before losing a heartbreaker in three sets to IHA. It was their only loss of the season. Skyers posted 128 kills, 63 blocks, 24 aces, and 131 digs in her senior campaign. During her 4 year career at KP, she had 377 kills, 86 blocks, 92 aces, and 382 digs.
Congrats to Sabrina for continuing to be a role model for NJ high school and youth players. We look forward to continuing to watch your career progress at Tulane.
