From Bulldog to Bulldog… Audrey Leak continues to show herself as a true leader and a wonderful role model for every NJ high school player in the state.

Audrey had so many accomplishments during her high school career at Dwight Englewood. First Team All-League, First Team All-County three year in a row and Second Team All-State as a senior… She finished her career with more than 1,000 kills and set six different school records… Audrey was named Third Team All-County as a first year and First Team All-State as a junior… In 2018, she was selected as the NJIC Player of the Year as DE made the county and state semifinals… Playing for the Digs Volleyball Club, the team was the 2018 Regional Champions and 2019 runner-up… As a long-time participant in USA Volleyball’s High Performance program, she was selected to play for the USA A1 Youth Red team at the High Performance championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

But in our opinion, her biggest accomplishment of all was her commitment to attend Yale for the Fall of 2020. But the world had some different plans as the pandemic started to roar. Her first college volleyball season with the Bulldogs was canceled during unprecedented times.

Audrey concentrated on her academics and waited for her time to showoff her athletic abilities. When the new season rolled around, Audrey jumped right in and put up 110 kills and 37 blocks over 55 sets played for Yale.

During the 2022 season, in her junior campaign, she was named All-Ivy League First Team. She put down 280 kills over 93 sets played and had 57 total blocks.

So far in 2023, Audrey has been outstanding. The 9-3 Bulldogs have benefited from Audrey’s 114 kills so far after playing just 36 sets. She has achieved a .295 hitting percentage. Her last three games played over this past week have been some of the best of her career. on 9/29 vs Penn, she posted 23 kills over 3 sets and .647 on the night in the Bulldogs win. The next night against Princeton, she had 24 kills on the night powering Yale over their Ivy league rival Tigers. And tonight against Cornell, she had 15 kills a drove the Bulldogs to their fifth straight win. She won the AVCA player of the week honors for her performance.

New Jersey is very proud of this former Saddle River native and we wish Audrey all the best as she finishes off her career.
