We took a look at how the seeds are determined for the Tournament of Champions by checking in with Al Stumpf, the extraordinary lead for girls high school volleyball at the NJSIAA. The seeds are determined by taking the traditional Power Point totals as accumulated by each team and subtracting out the group points. According to our unofficial analysis, it would look like this…

We know anything can happen at state playoff time, but using the NJP Predictor projected winners, match-up for the TOC could look something like this…

This should allow you do play around with the various scenario’s and see where teams might end up if the results are different than what we are projecting. The scenario gets thrown way out of whack if for example Ridgewood upsets Williamstown, then the whole grid gets realigned and Northern Hunterdon get a bye or if Paul VI defeats IHA, then again the Lions would move up a slot to get a bye. If both those scenario’s happen, the Northern Hunterdon would take the first spot and Paul VI would take the second. There are too many scenario’s to plot out but depending on your picks, and this unofficial info, you can easily map them out.
