Here is a look at a feature match-up for Opening Night of the Fall 2022 NJ Girls High School Volleyball schedule:

OPENING DAY – THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH

#11 Kent Place at #24 Union Catholic: The Dragons have dominated this series as of late in their battle of Union County private powers but the tables may be turning this season. Kent Place loses 63% of their kills to graduation including phenoms Iman Handy and Sabrina Skyers and the UC youth movement continues to yield great results. We will find out just how close these two teams are as the assert themselves as UCC top contenders.

Players to watch: Kent Place- junior outside Lauren Osuala will continue her assault on opponents as she is fed from returning junior Margeaux Morial. Sophomore Alex Grinis will anchor the defense.

Players to watch: Union Catholic- Seniors Miranda Lemansky, Caroline Evans, and Gabby Colon have been chosen as the Captains for the Varsity. Sophomores Ryan Gorski and Rachel Williams will fuel the attack along with rising junior Haiden Fuhrmann.

Game time is 6:30PM EST.
