NJP has established a new feature called “Quick Set” where we ask NJ’s best high school volleyball players a quick set of questions and feature the answers daily on the site. Congratulations to the players selected and we appreciate the time taken to jump in and share their thoughts. (Players: Watch your IG messages for future invites) The questions will change throughout the season and we expect some players will repeat as being a part of this content in the future. Let’s applaud these role models for representing NJ’s best!

Tell us about your team this season.
m very hopeful for our team this year. In the off season we have brought our offense to the next level and added a couple of new pieces to our overall strategy. Although a lot of our players are inexperienced, if we can really get our chemistry to click and spread the ball around I think we have an offense that can compete on a very high level. Our coach has been nothing but supportive and has done everything she can to help us accomplish our goals.
Which big games are you looking forward to playing this season?
Im most looking forward to playing against Howell both home and away, we have lost to them in years past and I think that this year we can pull off an upset in at least one if those games if not both.
What’s the best part of being on your school’s volleyball team?
The best part about being on Middletown South is definitely my teammates. All of us these past 2-3 years have built this program into something we can be proud of with none of us having any volleyball experience prior to high school. Im very impressed with all of them and am grateful for their commitment to this team.
Who is a player to watch on your team this season?
I think that our libero Nicholas Zito along our outside hitter Scott Molisani will be vital to our success.
Tell us your early season prediction for the best team in NJ?
I think that Scotch Plains-Fanwood has an extremely promising lineup and will go far this year. I had the opportunity to play them before the season in an inter club tournament and all I can say is that they are a very complete team.
