Here is some more data that played into our final ranking system. This analysis lists all of the teams that the top 25 lost to in easy to read fashion, It also lists the ranked teams beaten by each squad as well as the final level reached by each team.
Princeton beat 9 teams in the top 12, driving the math algorithm over the top for NJP’s #1 team. They had 10 wins over top 25 teams. Williamstown was very impressive as well knocking off 9 teams in the top 25. Old Tappan, and Notre Dame topped 7 team on the year in the top 25 with Notre Dame being the only team to defeat #1 Princeton. #25 Westfield defeated 5 teams in the Top 25, while Morristown defeated 4. IHA, Paul VI, Montville and Union Catholic each took down 3.

I understand that there is an algorithm/formula for final team rankings, but how does an undefeated O.T. not at least get 2nd overall? Arguably 1st.
This was the closest top three in our history. All three teams had incredible seasons. We followed the math to determine the three top slots.
