The Williamstown Braves have finally caught the attention of the USA Today/AVCA ranking committee and have launched into the #1 slot in Region 2. Region two represents teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, DC, and Delaware. Immaculate Heart is the only other NJ team in the top 10 as the drop 4 slots to the #8 spot in the weekly review. Demarest has fallen out of the top 10 for the first time all season.

The only other undefeated team in the region 2 top 10 is Maryvale Prep from Brooklandville, Maryland at 17-0.

There are just 4 undefeated high school squads in the USA Today’s Super 25 National Ranking of top high school volleyball teams in the nation. See that link here:

Williamstown seems well suited for a spot in the Final Super 25 based on their absolutely overpowering performance this season. And we feel that Paul VI should also get consideration in the Regional ranking.

It’s so awesome to see a NJ team at the very top in this presentation. NJ high school volleyball continues to be a force to be reckoned with and with over 300 high school teams and growing, the level of competition and success continues to thrive. Congratulations to Williamstown for attaining this achievement as one more items in this years treasure chest!
