Here are updated standings for the Spring 2024 NJ HS Boys Volleyball season. This data is from our first ranking of the season completed today.

Our algorithm uses a proprietary formula that factors in an abundance of data to form our ratings. Some of these factors include strength of schedule, winning trend, points differential per set, set win percentage and much more. We have been fortunate enough to use this system to predict game results at 91%+ rate of winners. Considering this is the high school level with a wide variety of volatility of rosters on any given night, we take great pride in the accuracy.

Our algorithm does not measure head to head results as a unique factor. We use the entire database of games for that team to analyze and produce the rating. In some cases, even though one team has defeated the other in head to head play, they may be ranked lower when you look at the rest of the team resume’.

We will eventually add division records to the standings as the season progresses.
