March 16, 2021 – By NJP

As the scores started rolling in from the first night of New Jersey Girls High School Volleyball, an odd silence hung in the air at NJP headquarters. Bewildered staff members roaming the halls looking they just took an acting tip from Joey Tribianni…

Of the first ten scores received, the NJP Predictor had lost 5 games already. The team, with calculators and algorithm’s in hand, tried to make sense of the results they were seeing. Tears welled in many team members eyes at 6:30 when the Predictor record was logged at 10-7. A miracle would have to happen to bring in the 62 wins they used as a goal in the 75 games picked on the schedule.

The night is about half over and the pace has picked up winning 20 of the next 23 games on the schedule to land currently at 30-10. Still 35 scores to tally up and settle, with NJP pulling down a 75% success rate, far below the typical average of 86%.

More updates later tonight….
